Constipation is a commonly reported disorder in many patients. Constipation treatment using laxatives on regular and long term basis can lead to patient dependence, especially among the elderly. However, there scanty data habit-forming potential of Indian constipated This review has explored literature evidence expert opinion patients’ experience regarding attributes stimulant osmotic laxatives.
